Isabel Lucas grew up in Australia and Switzerland where she lived in Melbourne (Victoria) and Lucerne (SWITZ.), in Kakadu National Park (NT), and on a hobby farm in Far North Queensland.
Isabel was discovered by a talent agent at a craft market and after regular and continuous training started her long-spanning career as a film and television actress. With a captivating and magnetic on-screen presence Isabel soon became part of the next generation of young Australian and Hollywood actors which earned her several awards. In 2011, Isabel was honoured as the “Female Star of Tomorrow" at the “Young Hollywood Awards Los Angeles”.
Isabel can be seen in the soon-to-be released thriller, "Lunacy”, directed by New York-based Australian film maker, Daniel Askill, produced by Jamie Hilton. Previously, she acted in numerous films and television projects in both Australia and the US. Isabel became known for her leading role, “Tasha”, in the successful Australian television series “Home & Away” and in 2004 received the Australian TV Week Logie Award for Best New Female Talent. Her move to Hollywood saw her star in “Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen”, Terence Malick’s “Knight of Cups” opposite Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett, Erik Van Looy's English-language remake of his own 2008 Belgian film “Loft”, and in numerous other films. Her television credits include the Steven Spielberg HBO miniseries “The Pacific”, the Academy Award winning Documentary “The Cove”, the TV remake “Emerald City” directed by Tarsem Singh, and the CBS produced American series “MacGyver”.
Back home in Australia her recent film releases include ”In Like Flynn", the Errol Flynn biopic starring Thomas Cocquerel and David Wenham, the science fiction thriller, "The Osiris Child", starring Rachel Griffiths and Kellan Lutz, and the Australian drama "That’s Not Me” which opened the 2017 Sydney Film Festival. Isabel also starred in Russell Crowe’s directorial debut “The Water Diviner” and played a feature role in Ed Sheeran’s music video “Give Me Love”.
Isabel is a keen animal rights supporter and has worked with many environmental organisations, and been part of several humanitarian, conservation campaigns.
She has been a proud Patron/Ambassador for Melbourne’s Human Rights and Arts Film Festival (HRAFF) for the past 10 years, a non-for-profit arts organisation featuring documentaries and feature films on social and environmental justice.
Known for her ethical, eco-conscious interests and her commitment to social justice, esp. for girls and women, Isabel became the brand ambassador and face of several fashion and cosmetics campaigns.
Isabel Lucas currently resides in both Los Angeles, California, and Byron Bay, Australia.
