Zeke- Bio
Ezekiel Simat (or Zeke) was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia before moving to Sydney to pursue acting. After a few years in Sydney working with world-class coaches, Zeke was flown out and hosted as a top 10 finalist in the highly competitive Heath Ledger Scholarship. He was selected out of over 1000 applicants by judges including Matt Damon, Elizabeth Debicki, Naomi Watts and Rose Byrne. He has previously been a finalist in Cleo Magazine and Cosmopolitan Magazine's Bachelor of the Year competitions.
Recently, Zeke played Jeremiah in the record-setting series Lambs of God (18 AACTA award nominations and sold to HBO), starring Emmy-winner Ann Dowd (Handmaid's Tale) & AACTA Award Winner Essie Davis (The Babadook & Game of Thrones); starred in Dollhouse Pictures' award-winning film Chlorine, one of four recipients of the prestigious Lexus Fellowship at Sydney Film Festival (where it had its world premiere) & Claudia Pickering's (Screen Australia & Create NSW funded) comedy Wanderbust which is on a successful festival run.
In 2021, Zeke will star as the romantic lead in the US/AUS co-production Dog Days of Christmas; Guest Star as Justin on Amazon Prime’s Back to the Rafters; Ari in Playmaker and Channel Nine’s Amazing Grace & in an upcoming Hulu miniseries that can’t yet be announced.
Zeke is available for selected Modelling opportunities and is proudly represented by Chadwick models throughout Australia.
He has featured in national magazines including Backyard Opera, Alchemy, Man of Many, Cleo, Cosmopolitan and Vogue. Commercially, he has shot for Lacoste Le Coq Sportif, MJ Bale, Gluestore, Iconic, JD Sports, The Iconic and Amazon.
